As one of the winningest Grand Tour riders of all time, Alberto Contador is more than just a bike racer, he’s a complete combination of everything it takes to be successful. With Alberto’s return to the Tinkoff-Saxo team he is more prepared than ever to show up ready to hit the ground running.

As the defending 2014 Vuelta a Espana champion, Alberto will be eyeing the 2015 Giro d’Italia where he hopes to stamp his authority on a difficult three weeks of racing. More than just arriving at the finish line first, Grand Tours require complete performance in a number of areas including the ability to climb, time trial, and stay out of trouble on the flat stages. In Alberto’s constant search for performance, he worked closely with Specialized in developing the new Rider-First Engineered Tarmac. He demanded a bike that could climb, sprint, and descend better than anything on the road and with his input and feedback, we were able to deliver on that promise. Alberto will also be looking to prove something after a disappointing Tour de France last year that saw the Spaniard crash out early while in incredible form. One of the most complete riders in the peloton, a motivated Alberto will have his rivals keeping a close eye on him throughout the year.

Helping Alberto and the rest of his Tinkoff-Saxo teammates tackle the marathon season that is professional cycling will be an arsenal of Specialized products, many of which have been developed directly with the riders themselves. The riders will have their choice of riding the S-Works Tarmac,, Venge, Roubaix or Shiv TT throughout the season while also having the option of utilizing either the Roval CLX 60 or CLX 40 wheels complete with S-Works Turbo tires for maximum aero efficiency and performance. Additionally, the riders will be wearing S-Works Road shoes while being able to take advantage of complete Body Geometry Fit sessions to ensure both comfort and power efficiency are achieved. Keeping the riders safe are the Evade, Prevail, and S-Works TT helmets allowing the perfect performance solution no matter the conditions.
